Juventus Move into Top Four After Dominant Win Over AC Milan

Juventus secured a crucial 2-0 win over AC Milan on Saturday, moving into the Serie A Champions League spots. The victory, which came courtesy of second-half goals from Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah, pushed the Bianconeri up to fourth place, just a point ahead of Lazio.

Juventus had been in a run of three consecutive draws, and this win broke their streak of 13 stalemates in 21 league matches. Despite Milan’s early pressure, including a near goal from Tijjani Reijnders and a powerful shot from Rafael Leao, Juventus controlled the match in the second half.

Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan had to fend off several early threats from Juventus, but he could do little to prevent Mbangula’s deflected shot in the 59th minute, which put Juve ahead.

Five minutes later, Weah sealed the win, scoring a goal reminiscent of his father, George Weah, who scored for Milan against Juventus 25 years ago.

Milan remains in eighth place, six points adrift of the top four, but with a game in hand. Juventus now look ahead to Lazio’s match against Verona on Sunday, while the title race intensifies as Napoli, leaders of the Serie A table, prepare for a clash with Atalanta.

In other matches, Bologna continued their resurgence with a 3-1 win over Monza, with goals from Santiago Castro, Jens Odgaard, and Riccardo Orsolini moving them up to sixth place, just four points behind Juventus.
