Mitchell’s 36 Points Carves Out Win For Cavaliers Over Timberwolves

Donovan Mitchell scored 36 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers bounced back with a 124-117 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

The leaders of the Eastern Conference entered Minneapolis following two losses in their last three games, which included a 134-114 defeat against the on-fire Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

However, after falling behind by 11 points early in the first quarter on Saturday, the Cavaliers came alive and secured a solid victory, bringing their record to 35-6.

Mitchell once again proved to be the key player, teaming up with Darius Garland to account for 65 of Cleveland’s total points. Mitchell ended the game with 36 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and four three-pointers.

Garland contributed 29 points, making five of his ten attempts from beyond the arc.

Anthony Edwards led the scoring for the Timberwolves with 28 points, including four three-pointers, while Julius Randle just missed a triple-double, posting 20 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists.
