Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has provided police officers all around the country with new uniforms and kits.
The gesture reinforces the IGP’s commitment to enhancing officers’ welfare and raising their morale, according to a statement released on Saturday by force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi.
The statement said, “This initiative supports his vision to enhance improved working conditions and professionalism within the force.”
With the passage of the 2025 budget, Egbetokun said he is hopeful that more welfare-focused projects would be put into place to help police officers perform their jobs more successfully.
“The Force is committed to ensuring that its workforce is well-equipped and motivated for the safety and security of all Nigerians.”
