Security Operatives Take Over PDP Secretariat

Security operatives have taken control of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat following a heated clash between Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye over the rightful occupant of the party’s National Secretary position.

The deployment includes soldiers, policemen, and personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Tensions flared when both Anyanwu and Ude-Okoye arrived for the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting. The situation escalated when an aide to Anyanwu forcibly removed Ude-Okoye from the closed-door session, triggering a confrontation between their supporters.

Security operatives swiftly intervened to prevent further chaos.
