She disclosed that when they attempted to pull out, they were seriously dealt with.

She also lamented how lecturers would fix tests on Friday and this made them miss Jumat services.

Ibiroke stated that lines were crossed during her time and called for religion not to be forced on anyone.

She wrote: “School of Nursing LUTH will make student nurses go round the hospital singing Christmas carol during XMas week, as a Muslim student you aren’t allowed to say no or pull out of it.

“We tried during our set to pull out, the issue was long , very long and we were dealt with seriously.

“Even Jumah services we weren’t allowed then, the lecturers will fix tests on Fridays at Jumah time even though the Nigerian constitution allows students to go for prayers on Fridays. I sincerely hope that has changed now. These were some of the boundaries that were crossed.

“There were only 4 Muslim students in my set and we saw shege from religious intolerance, so we all need to respect our religious freedom and boundaries. No one should force anything on anyone” .
