BREAKING: Ban Use Of E-cigarettes, Urges WHO, Advocating For Regulation Prohibition

The World Health Organization (WHO) has called upon its member nations to ban or regulate the use of e-cigarettes and other novel tobacco industry products in the interest of public health.

This plea was made during a virtual media briefing organized by the Network for Accountability of Tobacco Transnationals on the global tobacco treaty. E-cigarettes, battery-powered devices that heat liquid into inhalable vapor, were highlighted as a concern. The WHO’s global tobacco treaty aims to uphold people’s right to the highest health standards and discourages the use of emerging tobacco products.
