Safiyanu Danladi Mairiga, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya, has addressed criticisms regarding his use of the phrase “Love of my life” to describe his new second wife.
Mairiga on Saturday, December 28, shared a photo of himself and his second wife, who he married on Friday, December 27.
“Yesterday, I tied the knot with the LOML, Khadija Bashir, as my second wife.
“May our union benefit from the prayers offered to newly married couples by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W),” he wrote.
However, him calling the new wife the ‘LOML’ didn’t go down well with some people, particularly women.
Responding to the criticisms, he shared a photo of his first wife at one of the wedding events, saying she is equally the love of his life.
“Hey ladies raising voices over my use of ‘LOML’, I hope this picture responds to your concerns.
“This is my first wife (LOML) and my second wife (LOML) during one of the wedding events,” he wrote.
The media aide also celebrated the 5th wedding anniversary with his first wife on Saturday.
“On this day, five years ago, I got married to the LOML, Khadija Auwal Muhammad, with whom we’ve built a happy home and raised a beautiful family. As we celebrate our 5th anniversary today, it is my prayer that Allah will continue to bless our home and grant us eternal peace and joy.”
