Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike.

Adakole Ijogi, speaking on behalf of the Planning Committee, disclosed that the much awaited occasion was first scheduled for Sunday, November 19.

Gowon has chosen to move the banquet to a later date in 2024, though. The purpose of this modification is to give individuals embroiled in ongoing election lawsuits at the Court of Appeal to focus on their legal proceedings.

“On behalf of the Banquet of Honour Planning Committee, we wish to inform all invited dignitaries and guests of a shift in the date of the banquet to another day, early next year.
