The founder of CKN News, Chris Nwandu, expressed suspicions of foul play regarding the silence of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the face of opposition from his predecessor and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike. Nwandu stated that he felt the Rivers Governor was trying to see if he could get a seat at the Supreme Court.
Chris Nwandu had said, “First of all, I had the feeling and I have the personal opinion that Governor Fubara was practically playing to see if he can secure his this thing (seat) at the Supreme Court. That is very strategic, because no matter how you play the politics, if at the end of it all for whatever reason, he missed out in the Supreme Court, that is the end of his tenure. So, he must have been strategic enough to play along that is my personal opinion.”
Chris Nwandu, who spoke during an interview on Journalists’ Hangout, a TVC Television programme, said the crisis in Rivers State is not over yet.
