According to a report by PUNCH, a fisherman from Gungun-Sakaci village in Kebbi State, Alhaji Kasabo Gungun-Sakaci, has been honored for catching a live hippopotamus during a traditional festival.
The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi, presented the hippopotamus to Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State during the ‘Yauri Annual Rigata and Cultural Festival 2024’.
