Commercial transporters who operate in the Ile-Epo area of Lagos State have expressed their frustration with the extortion carried out by officials from the Ile-Epo police station and LASTMA.
This comes despite the challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidy. Several drivers who spoke with Newsbreak Nigeria on Friday disclosed that members of the Nigeria Police Force are collaborating with LASTMA officials and the local government task force to extort them on a daily basis.
