An EFCC operative in Benue, Remedy Yange, was discovered dead on a Lagos street. His identity was revealed through an ID card found in a bag beside him.
A video circulating on social media shows his lifeless body by the roadside as passersby attempt to identify him.
Yange, who was on leave to visit family in Lagos, has prompted an ongoing investigation, according to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale.
This incident follows the recent death of another EFCC operative, Aminu Salisu, in Anambra. Salisu was reportedly killed during an operation by a suspected internet fraudster.
The EFCC has pledged to investigate both deaths thoroughly.
