FBI Arrests Man Over TikTok Videos Threatening Trump
A 23-year-old man from Indiana has been arrested after allegedly posting TikTok videos threatening violence against President Donald Trump and government buildings, US authorities announced on Thursday.
Douglas Thrams is accused of posting multiple videos between Monday, when Trump was inaugurated, and Wednesday, calling for anti-government actions.
In one video, he reportedly said, “Every US government building needs to be bombed immediately.”
According to the criminal complaint, Thrams also made explicit threats against Trump, saying, “He needs to be assassinated, and this time, don’t… miss.”
Trump has previously been the target of two assassination attempts, including one at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year, where he was wounded in the ear.
The FBI affidavit states that Thrams appeared in another video holding a rifle and tapping it while making his threats. He was arrested on Thursday and charged with making “interstate communications with a threat to injure.”
