First Lady Mourns Dr Adewunmi

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has expressed profound sadness and shock over the sudden death of Dr. Blessing Eyakenyi Adewunmi, the daughter of Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi.

In a heartfelt condolence message, the First Lady described the tragic loss as painful and deeply distressing, offering her sympathies to the bereaved family.

“I extend my condolences to her husband, parents, and family. Dr. Blessing’s unfortunate death is excruciating and a great loss,” she said.

Drawing on scripture for comfort, Tinubu referenced 1 Thessalonians 5:18, encouraging believers to give thanks in all situations.

She also echoed the biblical passage from Job 1:21, stating, “The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
