JUST IN: Gombe Hosts Business Enabling Action Plan Workshop

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has declared open a one-day workshop on the Business Enabling Reform Action Plan (BERAB) Stakeholders Engagement.

The event, held at the International Hotel, Gombe, brought together key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies to enhance the state’s business environment.

Speaking at the workshop, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, emphasized the significance of the engagement in fostering a business-friendly climate in the state.
He described the event as a critical platform for aligning the state’s economic practices with global standards to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery.

The Governor clarified common misconceptions about the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), highlighting that it extends beyond market transactions to include the behavior and efficiency of all economic actors.

He stressed the importance of honesty, accountability, and time management in economic activities, noting that delays often hinder progress and growth.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya further outlined the federal government’s priorities under the State Action on Business Enabling Reform (SABER) initiative.
These include improvements in land administration, investment in fiber optic infrastructure, and enhanced services by investment promotion agencies.

He explained that these reforms are crucial for attracting investments, boosting productivity, and driving sustainable economic growth.
