An excited Senator Katung, who took to his verified Facebook page on Sunday, appreciated the three governors for attending the festival, which he said was designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of various ethnic groups as well as promote understanding and tolerance in Southern Kaduna.
“It was a great moment at the Kafanchan township stadium where I hosted their excellencies; Senator Uba Sani, governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa and Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, to the grand finale of the 2nd edition of the annual Southern Kaduna Cultural Festival which begun on 19th December.
“The Southern Kaduna cultural festival is designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our various ethnic groups as well as promote understanding and tolerance in the region.
“I have taken a personal commitment to do whatever it takes to offer full support to the organisers of the festival because of my strong desire to promote unity, foster a sense of identity, preserve our cultural heritage, and provide an opportunity for our people to learn about and appreciate different cultures and beliefs of our ethnic nationalities.
“Again, I desire to give full backing to the SKFest to showcase a peaceful and united Southern Kaduna to the world, as well as woo local and international investors to explore the vast investment opportunities in Southern Kaduna for our benefit, the state and Nigeria.
