Tshego Gaelae, a 33-year-old model from South Africa, was crowned as winner of the 40th Mrs World pageant held in Las Vegas, USA.
The Mrs World pageant is recognised as the inaugural beauty contest for married women, established in 1984.
Sri Lanka’s Ishadi Amanda was awarded the first runner-up title, with Thailand’s Ploy Panperm securing second.
“To God Be the Glory. Thank you so much for the love and support, I am beyond grateful and elated! My beautiful South Africa, the crown is coming Home.” Gaelae posted on her Instagram handle.
Gaelae, an admitted attorney, works as a labour relations manager at a South African law firm. She is known for supporting women and children who have faced domestic violence and is active with her own NGO, We Are Our Children’s Keepers, which raises funds to provide essential items such as school shoes, uniforms, stationery, and accessories to underprivileged schoolchildren.
Additionally, she produces impactful content for various brands on her social media platforms and shares educational material for My Lawyer’s Corner on her YouTube channel.
In 2024, Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina made history as the first Nigerian and West African to finish as the first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2024 competition held in Mexico City in November.
