LEADERSHIP Award Means There’s Something I’m Doing Well – Umeoji, Banker Of The Year 2024
Dame Adaora Umeoji, the group managing director/chief executive of Zenith Bank Plc, has expressed excitement at the Banker of the Year 2024 Award conferred on her by the LEADERSHIP.
Dame Umeoji stated this while receiving her nomination letter from the Vice Chairman of LEADERSHIP Group Limited, Mike Okpere.
She pledged to give her utmost for the growth of the banking sector.
Umeoji lauded the LEADERSHIP Newspaper for its professionalism and the painstaking efforts that culminated in her nomination as the Banker of the Year.
“I know the process was thoroughly done and this selection is based on merit.
“For me, it is quite encouraging to get this kind of award. It means that there is something I am doing well, and to whom much is given, much is expected,” she said, adding that the award would inspire her to do more for both humanity and the banking sector.
While presenting the award letter to Umeoji, Mr Okpere said the award was conferred on her and other awardees after a thorough assessment of their positive impacts on the country’s political and economic growth.
Okpere noted that the LEADERSHIP award sets the pace in Nigeria’s media industry, adding that the formal presentation of the award to recipients was scheduled for April 8, 2025, in Abuja
