Lobi Stars Chairman Appointed As Permanent Secretary, Commends Governor Alia

The chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, Dr. Philip Nongu, has applauded Governor Hyacinth Alia for finding him worthy to serve as a permanent secretary in the Benue State Civil Service.

Nongu, who spoke in an interview with our correspondent, promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him.

“I want to thank the governor for finding me worthy as a Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service, and as the Governor rightly pointed, my appointment is based on my track records, commitment and proven integrity. I want to thank him for taking his time to go through the records and reward my hard work, commitment and dedication to duty.”

“I am not in anyway going to take this appointment for granted, I will work hard to leave lasting legacies that will stand a taste of time in the history of the state, and as the administrative head and accounting officer of the Ministry, I will ensure that staff adhere to the codes of the civil service which allow discipline and respect for constituted authorities among staff.

He continues, “I want to promise here that, I will be a responsive and responsible Officer who will be duty bound to implement policies and programmes of the Alia led administration in line with its seven point agenda”

“My appointment today only confirms that, there is a reward for hard work and resilience, and when it is time, recognition comes with ease” Nongo added.
