The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) unveiled five LNG mini-plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State, on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
The five LNG mini-plants are NGML/Gasnexus LNG, PRIME LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and LNG Arete.
These facilities will be supplied with their feedstock, which is natural gas, via natural gas pipes that are currently ascending to the Ajaokuta location.
The AKK pipeline, or the Ajaokuta-Kano-Kaduna gas pipeline being constructed by the Nigerian government, serves as the primary source pipeline for the mini-plants.
These facilities would provide gas to regions of the nation that do not currently have any gas infrastructure.
