PDP’s Crisis is Caused by Your Desperation, APC Attacks Atiku

The All Progressives Congress (APC) attacked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday, claiming that his “political desperation” is to blame for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s crisis.

In a statement, APC spokesperson Felix Morka criticised the former vice president for disparaging Nigeria’s courts.

Morka claimed that Abubakar’s criticism of the judiciary is ironic given his “long history of using the courts to further his political agenda.”

Similar to the legislative and executive branches, the judicial branch of government was established by the constitution and has the authority to decide cases involving both citizens and the government, according to Morka.

“When a litigant legitimately invokes the court’s authority, Atiku cannot wish away or attempt to abolish the courts’ enshrined power to intervene in civil disputes, including electoral disputes.

“Atiku ought to concentrate on reviving his party and providing positive answers to Nigeria’s problems. He is aware that the PDP’s disastrous collapse is the result of his political desperation.”

According to Morka, the false alarm being raised by desperate politicians who are merely trying to garner support before the general election in 2027 should not divert Nigerians.
