Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party candidate in Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election, referred to Mahama as “my dear elder brother and president.”

The message was shared on Peter Obi’s official X account (formerly Twitter). He penned the congratulatory note after John Mahama’s inauguration as President of Ghana on Tuesday.

In his post, Obi extended his warm wishes, expressing hope for a tenure filled with peace and prosperity for the people of Ghana.

“My dear elder brother, President John Dramani Mahama, as you take the oath of office today as President of Ghana, I would like to heartily congratulate you once again and wish you a fruitful tenure.”
