Tinubu Departs to Tanzania for Energy Summit
President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to attend the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit on January 27, 2025, and January 28, 2025.
Hosted by Tanzania in collaboration with the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank, the summit aims to address Africa’s energy challenges.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated that Tinubu will join African leaders, private sector representatives, and civil society to strategise on energy access, renewable energy, and private investment mobilisation.
Nigeria will present its energy strategy during the summit, with heads of state endorsing a unified roadmap for achieving Mission 300 objectives.
Tinubu is accompanied by key officials, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Power and the Special Adviser on Energy.
